  Food and drink was fine, but unfortunately the waiting on staff left something to be desired. Being asked at the end of the meal 'would you like anything else or can i get you the bill' very abruptly doesnt make you feel very welcome truth be told. Also, the fact the table took something like 10/15 minutes to be cleared, and even when it was being cleared, the member of staff clearing the table disappeared half way through to go and serve the bar, despite other members of staff being around.
  The meal was fine, but there just seems to be a lack of communication between staff members and in general staff didnt appear like they wanted to be there that day.
  I will admit, i work in a restaurant myself and it does make you more aware of these things, i just hope it was an off day since everything else was great.

  Great place to visit whilst in Cartmel. Good food and excellent customer service. Can't fault Sunday lunch. We all had the beef and it was tremendous. Would highly recommend this resturant and bar.
